Each week, we will highlight one member of our CMF team. We would like to provide you with ‘behind the scenes’ news on our operations, and can get to know a little bit more about the people working for the Canadian Minifootball Federation (CMF)! We have asked each of our team members the same eight questions, to provide a broad perspective on what they bring to the CMF team.

In today’s post, we meet our second Graphic Designer of the Canadian Minifootball Federation (CMF) – Henry Rincon. He will reveal to us his responsibilities and the role that he plays in this ambitious project.

CMF: Explain in detail what projects you are working on at CMF?

At the moment I am designing the banners of the CMF website, a sample of my work is the new moving banner and I hope to continue showing you a bit of the creativity applied throughout the website.

CMF: What initially drew into wanting to join the CMF?

Well, I love Canada and it motivated me a lot that I can show my creative talent for the CMF site since soccer is one of my passions along with design. I am very happy to be part of the team.

CMF: How has your experience been so far?

My experience so far has been incredible. To be able to have feedback from the entire team regarding my work that helps you to be better every day, I find that to be valuable. I’ve met a lot of new people and their work is incredible. I am very happy with this process so far.

CMF: Describe a typical day for you working on CMF projects.

After receiving the instructions from Jan during the weekly meetings, I begin to create different options. After I get some feedback, we can find the indicated option to focus on working towards reaching a desirable idea. Then the team reviews so I can get more opinions and once the finished product is to the liking of everyone, I submit it for sharing.

CMF: How has the pandemic affected your work? How have you adjusted to it?

Well, this difficult situation in the world has retaught the way of working, now most of us do telework. In my case, it is like that. I looked for a new space to let ideas and creativity flow.

CMF: What do you like to do in your spare time?

In my free time, I love to travel (before COVID), spend time with my family, and watch soccer matches, especially from the Italian league. Now due to the pandemic, I’ve spent more time with my family and waiting for everything to end so I can resume travelling.

CMF: What other work do you do outside of the CMF?

I am a designer for a Government Ministry in Colombia, where I make graphic pieces, animated videos, among other things. I also do freelance work for different audiences.

CMF: What do you hope to accomplish while with the CMF?

I look forward to being an important part of CMF’s growth and outreach in the future as they have immense potential for all amateur players in Canada.
